Another Way to Save Money

…is to make your own bread which has numerous benefits! I make my own bread every week, it has no sugar or preservatives, smells and tastes great, and is a whole lot cheaper than the “equivalent” at the grocery store. The only downside is that it’s hard to make perfect slices…

  1. Recipe, please! I don’t have a single bread recipe that doesn’t contain sugar. (At least none that I’ve been willing to try so far, but if you say it’s good, I’ll try yours!)

And that is indeed a lovely perfect loaf. Do you use a two pound loaf pan? Metal or glass or stoneware? We’ve outgrown our breadmaker, so I’m doing it by hand now and am shopping around for pans.

You’re my research for tonight. Lucky you!

  2. Yes, I think a recipe is necessary!! It is a beautiful loaf, and I have exactly the same problem with the slicing aspect. Husband loves the taste and smell, but doesn’t like the thicker slices for sandwiches. Let me know what you discover!! =)

  3. Perfect! State Fair appearance!
Haven’t done as much baking lately, but, time was folks asked where I worked out (toned upper arms) and I always responded, “kneading bread,”
I, too, crave the recipe. No sugar?
