We had just a little family (meaning the five of us) birthday party for Beau last night. We’re having his big party on Sunday with the rest of our friends and family, but we didn’t want to just ignore the fact that his birthday was yesterday…so I made a special cake and we opened one present… here’s some shots…

Soccer Ball Birthday Cake
While I was frosting this cake Beau, who is a very big fan of basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, baseballs and so on, kept on saying “Socca ball! Socca ball!” very excitedly- it was so cute, and I had no doubt I had chosen the right thing to make for his cake.

More Cuteness
Here you can see how utterly excited he was to get to blow his candles out and see the cake up close.

Gathering Air
Swooping in for the kill…

Trick Candles
Trick candles…

Say Cheese!
Ah…brotherly love. Then we had to play “present police” so Beau could actually play with his own birthday present.

Funny Face
I’m not sure if we’re seeing frustration here, or if he just learned something new from his father…

Singing Again
Our little vocalist…very into the music thing as well…

We were singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” Of course, he wouldn’t perform once Daddy got out the video camera. (Kev did catch me mooning the video cam though…too bad, you don’t get to see that… Bwahahahahaha!)

More to come as always…and also as always, there’s more on Flickr…you know the routine. 🙂
