Only 3 and Already a Romantic

Last night Drew and I were sitting there watching TV together (Who Wants to be Millionaire is about the only appropriate thing for a kid to watch with an adult who wants to watch something, well, at their own IQ level…) While we were watching a diamond commercial came on and he was watching it very intently. Then being fairly discerning for a 3 year old, he turned to me and said, “Mom, do you want one of those?”
To which I responded, (no duh!) “Yes, I do!”
“Well Mom, when I be big, I will get you one.”
“Oh Drew…that is so sweet,” I said with tears in my eyes.

This morning, I said to Drew very excitedly,
“Hey, you know what?”
“What!??”
“Christmas is right around the corner!!!”
As he looked around, he said, “Where??!!”
